How-To-Do:
Remove loose rust and old layers of paint or varnish as far as possible
The rust does not have to be completely ground off.
Remove dirt and deposits with water and, if necessary, with an aqueous alkaline cleaner, please never use a mineral cleaner (e.g. NO benzine, acetone, thinner, cold cleaner, etc.).
Apply FERTAN® Rust Converter on the still wet surface with a brush, roller or spray gun and let it react at for 24 hours.
After the reaction time, wash or rinse off the treated areas with clear water
Apply FERTAN Epoxy primer for a long term rust protection
Always cover light substrates, stones, etc. with a waterproof foil to avoid soiling and leave this foil also for the final coat.
